Overview

Western blot (WB), also called Immunoblot, uses specific antibodies to analyze one protein in a sample containing multiple proteins. Proteins are separated from each other by size using gel electrophoresis, then transferred to a membrane and detected with a specific antibody. This technique is widely used in biological research.

Listen in as our our scientific support expert, Heather Allen, reviews tips and tricks on how to plan and optimize your western blot experiments.
