1. The prize draw is open to persons aged 21 years or over, except employees (or consultants) of Abcam, their families, agents or any third party associated with administration of the prize draw. Federal employees are also excluded from entering the prize draw. The prize draw is only open to residents of the United States, United Kingdom and any member country of the European Union.
2. To complete a prize draw entry, each entrant must: (i) submit a public product review relating to their purchase of an Abcam product from www.abcam.com (or any authorized distributor); (ii) submit a digital image of the purchase product in use; and (iii) leave their name and email address upon completion of their post-event survey. In addition, to be eligible for the prize draw, all fields of the online review submission form (as set forth on Abcam’s website) must be completed in their entirety. Abcam reserves the right not to publish any review received in its sole discretion.
3. Any product review submitted by you shall be subject to the Abcam customer review terms and conditions set forth at https://www.abcam.com/en-fr/legal/customer-reviews-terms-and-conditions (“Review Terms”). In the event of any conflict between the terms of this prize draw and the Review Terms, the Review Terms shall control.
4. Limit one entry per tested application and species on a per product code (abID) basis.
5. Abcam accepts no responsibility for entries not successfully completed due to a technical malfunction, computer hardware or software failure, satellite, network or server failure of any kind.
6. Submissions automatically generated by computer will be disqualified.
7. One (1) winner will be chosen at random from eligible entries by a draw each month that the prize draw is in effect.
8. Submissions will be eligible for entry into the prize draw from the first calendar day of each month until the final calendar day of that month. Entries received after this time will be entered into the draw in the following month. A winner will be selected and informed by email within ten (10) business days following the end of each prize draw month.
9. Each winner will receive a prize of Abcam’s choosing. The prize will be delivered via FedEx postal service. The odds of winning a prize are dependent upon the number of entrants and each prize has a retail value of approximately £500 (GBP) or local currency equivalent dependent on the winner's location.
10. The winners will be asked (upon confirmation of their acceptance of the prize) if they are happy to have their identity published as the winner of the prize. If a winner is happy to be identified, such winner of the prize draw will be announced on Abcam’s chosen social medial platform (e.g., Twitter, Facebook, etc.).
11. The prize for the winners is non-exchangeable, non-transferable and no cash alternative is offered. The prize may not be claimed by a third party on the winner’s behalf or donated to a third party. If any winner needs to withdraw for any reason, another winner will be selected at random.
12. The winners will be responsible for all applicable taxes associated with their acceptance of the prize. If the winners are a US resident for tax purposes, they are required to fill out a W9 and return a copy to Abcam, found here: https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/fw9.pdf.
13. The decision of Abcam regarding any aspect of the prize draw is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into about it. Abcam reserves the right to refuse entry or refuse to award the prize to anyone in breach of these terms and conditions. Abcam reserves the right to hold void, cancel, suspend, or amend the promotion where it becomes necessary to do so.
14. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW.
15. By entering this prize draw, you hereby represent and warrant to Abcam that you are permitted to participate in this contest and that your participation in the same does not violate: (i) any of your employer’s rules and/or policies; and/or (ii) your local governing law.
16. By entering this prize draw, you are agreeing to be bound by these terms and conditions. You are also agreeing to be contacted by Abcam in relation to the prize draw only.
17. Insofar as is permitted by law, Abcam, its agents or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate any winner or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the prize except where it is caused by the negligence of Abcam, its agents or distributors or that of their employees. Your statutory rights are not affected.
18. Personal data supplied during the course of this promotion may be passed on to third party suppliers only insofar as required for fulfilment/delivery/arrangement of the prize. 19. This contest shall be governed by English law, and both you and Abcam hereby submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
20. This prize draw shall commence on April 1, 2024 and end on June 30, 2024. Any entry submitted after June 28, 2024 shall not be eligible for any prize.
